A lot has been written in recent years in the liberal / progressive press about ‘income inequality,’ the unequal distribution of income and wealth in Western capitalist democracies. President Barack Obama and the prior half-century of ‘liberal’ Democrat Presidents have made speeches decrying income inequality while also advocating and otherwise supporting ‘market’ capitalism.
